FEES

The Glow Centre is a private practice and we do not bulk bill.  Payment is required at the time of consultation.  With a valid referral, clients may be eligible for a rebate from Medicare for part of the session fee, which is processed after the full payment is made by the client.

The current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee is $254.00 per hour.

REPORTS - FEES

General report

Fee: $99 (incl. GST)

Applies to reports or letters such as the following:

  • Request for special consideration (supporting letter) for school/university
  • Report/correspondence for distance education applications/reviews
  • Report/correspondence for workplace issues/professional registration bodies
  • Summary of therapy for psychiatrist/paediatrician/other allied health professional/school (outside of usual Medicare reporting requirements)

Comprehensive report

Fee: $198 (incl. GST)

Applies to reports or letters such as the following:

  • Access request for NDIS
  • Supporting documentation for NDIS application
  • Report for NDIS review
  • Supporting documentation for Centrelink DSP application

All reports and letters are prepared within 1 – 2 weeks from date of request

REBATES
Medicare Rebates

The Glow Centre is a private practice and we do not bulk bill.  Payment is required at the time of consultation.  With a valid referral, clients may be eligible for a rebate from Medicare for part of the session fee, which is processed after the full payment is made by the client.

Psychology
Clients may be eligible for Medicare rebates on psychology services after obtaining a referral from their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician.  Clients are eligible for up to 10 Medicare rebates per calendar year for individual sessions, and up to 10 rebates per calendar year for group sessions.  Initially, you will be referred for up to six sessions.  After which you can return to your GP for a Mental Health Review and another 4 sessions may be approved if your GP believes you would benefit from more sessions.

Private Health Rebates

Individuals and families with private health cover may be able to claim rebates for psychology and social work.
Please consult your private health fund for more details, as yearly limits and eligibility vary with funds and levels of cover.
To claim your sessions at The Glow Centre on your private health, we will provide you with a receipt for payment which you can submit to your health fund.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Glow Centre’s cancellation policy was developed with the awareness that when appointments are booked, the clinician reserves the whole hour especially for you. Therefore the following cancellation policy is in place:

We require 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any extra fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment.

CANCELLATION FEES:

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a $50 FEE
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance will incur FULL SESSION FEE

Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another client access to that appointment time.

We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency. If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible to explain the situation.

A late cancelled appointment or non-attendance is a loss to three people:

  1. the client who is delaying their therapy process,
  2. another client who has been on the waiting list to see the clinician urgently,
  3. the clinician who spent time preparing for the session.

Courtesy appointment reminders: Reminder text and/or emails may be sent as a courtesy; however, they do not replace the client’s responsibility to remember their appointment date and time.
